The Breakfast Club Kuwait – Review
The Breakfast Club opened shop in 2011 and is a nice spot if you’re after some posh nosh, mouthwatering sumptuous breakfast, or a long leisurely brunch. Breakfast being the most important meal of the day and according to many scientific studies have numerous benefits including weight loss. But weight loss wasn’t on our mind when we headed out on a Friday to the mezzanine floor of the KIPCO tower for a breakfast that eventually became brunch.
This industrially designed place with exposed metal, distressed wood complemented with exposed roughly painted brick wall was packed to say the least. Fortunately after about a 5 minute wait we got our table. The digital menu seems to be a trendy substitute most modern restaurants are following. Always better to visualize the ‘indulgence options’ rather than just read about it… and we began drooling!
We ordered the Eggs Benedict (Kd 3.650), Gucaroyal (Kd 4.500), Italian Frittata (Kd 3.500), French Toast (Kd 2.750), Fried Egg Sandwich (Kd 2.950), Lotus Pudding (Kd 4.500), Orange Juice (Kd 0.950) and Blueberry Mojito (Kd 1.950). Our total bill Kd 25.700. We liked everything that was served, but the Italian Frittata did stand a head above the other dishes. Next was the Eggs Benedict with the perfectly poached egg coated with a creamy, smooth hollandaise sauce served with turkey and muffins.
The Breakfast Club seems to be hugely popular among the discerning Kuwaiti crowd. The setup is neat and trendy, service fast, portions generous and food is good. Price seems to be at par with many of the other trending restaurants like AlMakan, Cocoaroom, iHop, Early Bird etc..
Overall – Nestled in the KIPCO tower with a relaxing ambiance, this place offers some creative combination and diverse flavors. Certainly a great way to start your day… (if you can afford it everyday)
