Lino’s Cafe, Kuwait
Lino’s is an international franchise which started their service in Kuwait since 2009 and I believe they are in line with their professed philosophy; Product, Service and Atmosphere. . It all began at Sorbolo (in the province of Parma) in 1991 with the aim of giving customers a unique, emotional, multisensory experience into the world of coffee. At the Avenues with the plethora of coffee shops this one does stand out especially with the range of items on the menu. We had been here earlier and didn’t really have to struggle with the decision to come here again.
We had ordered the; Strawberry Cheesecake (Kd 2.100), Carrot Cake (Kd 2.100), Warm Chocolate brownie served with Ice Cream Cookie (Kd 3.650), Hot Chocolate (Kd 1.750), Café Latte (Kd 1.500), Coffee Mocha Flakes (Kd 1.750) and a Strawberry Gelato (Kd 1.000). Total bill was Kd 13.850.
The cakes were plated well and the portions were big enough for two. The Strawberry Cheese Cake lacked the Cheesey punch but the Carrot Cake was simply delicious. The Warm Chocolate Brownie was a new item on the menu and was rich in chocolate. The flavor was intense and had a mix of textures with an outside soft crust and a gooey inside. The Ice Cream topping balanced the warmth of the brownie. We had a slight apprehension with the heating of the chocolate which can give it a slightly burnt after taste (after a single Chocolate bar experience) but this was perfect !! Though the price tag would equal a main course in Olive garden, the dish will easily serve 3 (unless you are a glutton 😉 ).
The restaurant won’t disappoint you with it’s ambiance, service and food. But please don’t be in a rush, you’ll need to relax and enjoy the experience.
