Park Burger Kuwait – Review
In food, if there is one thing we can say without fear of contradiction is that ‘Kuwait Loves Burgers’. The food industry here is worth millions and it is not longer the McDonald’s and Burger King’s that define our idea of the perfect patty. Popularity of the ‘dude food’ has unleashed a new wave of gourmet bun slingers who has turned this once humble sandwich into an object of reverence. The food geeks who used to obsess over the details of fine dining are now queueing to get into hip burger joints.
Saw this place after a visit to Five Guys in Tijaria tower and after a peep into their Specialty menu we didn’t think twice about visiting this place the next day. What could be more perfect than finely ground quality meat married with the perfect condiments and placed between two slices of bread ? Our search for Kuwait’s kick-ass burger has taken us many places serving junk food classics, done very well, but with a nerd-like insistence on authenticity. Kuwait has no dearth of good burger joints, but great is still kinda elusive.
Being our first visit at the Park Burger we decided to stick to the popular and recommended. We ordered the Classic Double (Kd 3.900) which came with a loaded with two 4Oz (113.3 gm) stout premium blend patties, beef bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and their park sauce. This was a stout and greasy classic that just contains the right explosion of beef, grease and cheese. The sauce was pretty weak in the edges but towards the center of the burger it was strong but not overpowering. The Park Burger (Kd 2.550) is a 5.3Oz (130gm) premium blend with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and park sauce. We also ordered the Works (Kd 2.250) which are hand cut fries with ranch, beef bacon, cheese and green onion.

Overall – The burgers are a bit undersized for the patty. Fashionably, the mince has been given a chunky grind and is relatively loosely packed, giving it a solid but easily yielding feel in the mouth. However, its flavor is far from barnstorming. The seasoning was meek and the sauce scanty. The potato bun is fluffy soft and hold the ingredients perfectly in place. Our maiden experience left us feeling kinda numb but based on gut feeling this place does hold some value. Maybe next time!
